Mrs Ladbrooke runs her Forest School Club every Friday after-school from 3.15pm until 4.15pm.
Forest School is a type of outdoor education, as well as making and enriching curriculum links, the purpose of Forest School is to raise self-esteem, social skills and encourage teamwork.
We aim to promote imaginative and creative play, independence and a caring attitude towards others and our environment whilst gaining valuable life skills. All sessions and activities are carefully planned, monitored and risk assessed.
A handbook with all of our risk assessments and policies in is available at school for anyone who wishes to view. The Forest School programme will include a wide range of activities including crafts, environmental education, tool use, wood craft, den building, learning knots and campfire cookery.
Children will require clothes that they can change into which are comfortable and suitable for the weather (Forest School will not be outside if a yellow weather warning for strong winds is forecast).
