At Ellingham we believe that giving pupils responsibilities supports our values of respecting, inspiring and aspiring. As House Captains, Assembly Monitors, Librarians and Play Leaders the children develop their leadership skills and embody our ethos for the community.
School Captains
This year, we have 2 children who are advocates for our school.
House Captains
Every year the children vote for 2 house captains from Year 6. The children who would like to put themselves forward have to give a presentation about why they think they will be a good house captain to the rest of their house, who then vote for them.
These are this years house captains.

Assembly Monitors
We have 2 children that support the teachers leading Collective Worship every day by setting up the hall ready, playing the music and the PowerPoint as needed.
Collective Worship Crew
The Collective Worship Crew, help us during our assemblies. They give out Dojo points and keep a book to record what pupils say.
Reading Ambassadors
Our KS2 School librarians keep our library tidy. They also enable children to chose books to take home as well as running lunchtime story time for children in KS1.
